A warm welcome to our newest project member, Federico!
On 1 December 2021, Federico Boem joined NanoBubbles as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Twente (Netherlands).
Federico Boem is a philosopher of science. His research interests include philosophy of biology and biomedicine (including technological and methodological aspects), philosophy of scientific knowledge production, the relationship between science and democracy, and the philosophy of scientific communication.
Within Nanobubbles, which aims at investigating how, when and why science fails itself, his main tasks include working on the explication of a common vocabulary in the research field, contributing to the building of bibliographical corpora, and the analysis and annotation of scientific literature.
Part of his work includes also, in synergy with other members, the organisation and the categorisation of scientific content, evaluating the effects of possible interventions aimed at correcting scientific practice.
