How fraudulent research leads to patient deaths: an overview of the trachea transplant scandal : a NanoBubbles co-led event

The Laboratory for Vascular Translational Science (UMRS 1178) and the NanoBubbles project are organising a seminar entitled How fraudulent research leads to patient deaths: an overview of the trachea transplant scandal, led by Professor Patricia Murray (University of Liverpool). The seminar will take place, both in person on the Bichat Hospital campus (Paris) and online, on 20 May 2022 at noon.

Professor Murray is a biologist who has been investigating the ramifications in England of the scandal of surgeon Paolo Macchiarini, whose operations, presented as successful in the press, have in fact resulted in the death of patients in atrocious conditions. His trial in Sweden is currently underway and Professor Murray is one of the experts called to testify.

If you are interested in attending the seminar, please contact our project manager Zoé Toure, who will provide you with the Zoom link.
